The purpose of this trade mission was to introduce global MARPA Member Air Carriers and MROs to the significant advantages offered by the FAA-PMA industry through one-on-one meetings and networking events.
Air Carrier Members met with manufacturing member contacts via MARPA-facilitated one-on-one meetings, as an opportunity to learn more about the partnerships and solutions that they could offer one another. It was the chance for many to meet with PMA parts manufacturers face-to-face without travel overseas. Air Carrier delegates spent quality time with solutions providers who are motivated to help them grow and maintain their FAA-PMA program.
Because meetings took place in a scheduled space that was facilitated by MARPA, all carrier participants had the ability to meet with each delegate manufacturing company (even ones they may not usually have the chance to see), bringing new opportunities for both operators and suppliers. This event was a valuable membership benefit that was offered to help MARPA members increase their export business! Air Carrier participants and manufacturing participants were matched by MARPA and provided a schedule for 1:1 meetings, which were attended in a round-robin.
The 2022 MARPA Trade Mission featured a half-day of one-on-one meetings and networking functions, with a welcome reception held the evening before. In the afternoon, interested participants travelled via motorcoach to the lovely La Muñoza site to spend time on a guided tour of the exciting Iberia Maintenance facility.
