About the PMA Parts Management Seminar in China

On September 23-24, 2025 MARPA will join with Oppland to host the PMA Parts Management Seminar.

The conference will take place in XI’an, China. Oppland is working on a location and the location will be published as soon as it is available.

Oppland will also be taking registrations, and as soon as registration is open, we will let the community know.

We are partnering with Oppland because of their history of success in bringing Chinese air carriers and MROs to meet with U.S. manufacturers. For the Chinese, this Is an opportunity to communicate their needs and desires to the manufacturing community. For PMA manufacturers this is an optimal opportunity to meet with customers in China. For everyone, this is an opportunity to learn more from one another and to identify ways that we can work together to support aviation safety, improve reliability, and improve supply chain issues.

WHAT ABOUT TARIFFS? Many people have asked about the effect of Chinese tariffs on US-manufactures aircraft parts. While it is true that China has imposed reciprocal tariffs on US-manufactured aircraft parts, this is true about ALL US-manufactured parts. Aircraft need replacement parts – and many PMA parts can be offered for a lower price. In addition, we believe that trade between China and the United States will eventually normalize. If a solutions-provider can support customers during times of trade strife, then the relationships will blossom when the trade strife is over.
